Two weeks out
- Confirm your moving date and book movers or a truck
- Schedule utilities to transfer or start on closing day
- Update your address with your bank, employer, and the post office
- Start packing rooms you use least
The final week
- Respond quickly to any requests from your lender or escrow officer
- Don’t make major purchases or open new credit without checking with your lender first
- Schedule your final walkthrough
- Confirm how and when you’ll bring funds to closing
