Staging Your Home on a Budget

Staging doesn’t have to mean renting furniture. Small changes can make rooms feel larger, brighter, and easier to understand.

Room by room

  • Entry: Clear shoes and coats, and add a clean doormat
  • Living areas: Pull furniture slightly away from walls and remove extra pieces
  • Kitchen: Clear counters, leaving only a few items
  • Bedrooms: Make the beds, and keep decor simple
  • Bathrooms: Fresh towels, clean grout, and empty counters

Easy upgrades

Neutral paint on worn walls, brighter bulbs, and a tidy yard go a long way. Give each room one clear purpose, so buyers can see how they might use the space.
